The Vikings Hockey Club is open to all students at Walt Whitman High School.  During the spring, Pyle 8th graders are allowed to play with the team. During the 2020-21 season, Whitman won the JV championship for the Montgomery Hockey Conference. The JV team practices usually once a week and plays eight to 11 games each season.

The Whitman JV team practices on Monday afternoons and some Wednesdays at the Cabin John Ice Rink from October through early February.
