About Frederick County

Welcome to the home of the Kings. The Frederick County Co-op program was formed out of necessity due to the shortage of hockey players from the local high schools in the area. The program started with 7 different high schools that once had a high school hockey program. The main goal of the co-op program is to provide a place to play for these hockey players without a home team. We’re proud of the continuous growth of the program over the last few seasons where the numbers of players of each individual school are growing each year. Secondly, the growth also allows us to extract schools from our program to help other teams to expand their roster as needed. This solid foundation and the continuity of the program are also seeing good success on the ice with 4 consecutive seasons in the Conference and the State Playoffs. For the 2019-20 season, the Frederick County Co-op program comprises of four schools; Catoctin, Linganore, Thomas Johnson, and Tuscarora. There are 5 underclassmen and 8 juniors and 7 seniors in the program. We will be fielding only a varsity squad this season.
