The 2018-19 CSHL Playoffs begin on Monday, February 11th and conclude with the Championship Game on Friday, March 1st. We will have the same “cross-division” format that we had last year (and in prior years). The only difference being that this year we have 12 teams instead of 10.

All 12 teams make the playoffs. The website standings has all applicable tie-breakers built in, so division rankings will be taken from the website once all regular season game scores are entered.

Seeding

North #1 and South #1 will be seeded on opposite sides of the bracket. North #2 is placed on the same side of the bracket as South #1, while South #2 is placed on the same side of the bracket as North #1. These 4 teams will receive a bye in the first round.

North #1, North #2, South #1, and South #2 all receives byes in the first round.

  • North #3 will play South #6
  • North #4 will play South #5
  • South #3 will play North #6
  • South #4 will play North #5

Quarter Final matchups

South #1 will play the winner of North #4 vs South #5

North #2 will play the winner of South #3 vs North #6

North #1 will play the winner of South #4 vs North #5

South #2 will play the winner of North #3 vs South #6

Additional notes

  • The higher seed in all games is the home team
  • There is NO “re-seeding” after each round
  • In the event of a tie at the end of regulation, all games except for the championship game will immediately proceed to a Shootout. The Championship Game, if tied at the end of regulation, will have a 5-minute sudden-death OT followed by a Shootout, if necessary.
