Coming off two consecutive close losses in MAPHL play, Prep knew Tuesday night’s game was a must win. In the first period the Hoyas started out slow but managed to find the back of the net with three seconds left with a goal by Pat Fitzgerald assisted by Daniel Cole on the power play.  Midway through the second the Hoyas would get on the board once again with another power play goal this time by James Flannery.  The Hoyas would tally again just moments later on Pat Fitzgerald’s second goal of the evening assisted by Daniel Cole. The Hoyas continued to dominate the second period with another power play goal from James Flannery assisted by Daniel Cole. The Hoyas held a commanding 4-0 lead at the end of the second and eventually sealed the deal on a goal late in the third with a goal by James Flannery assisted by Daniel Cole to push the lead to 5.  Senior Will Boggs posted his first shutout in league play saving the fifteen shots that went in his direction. The Hoyas pick up a crucial two points in the standing and move to 2-0 in the IAC and set their sights to a rematch of last years IAC Championship with Landon on Friday at the Cabin. Come cheer on the Hoyas, but if you can’t be rink side the game will be streamed live on Monumental Sports Network. Hoya Saxa!
