Coming off the first loss of the season the Hoyas had no time to rest as they faced the Saints Wednesday night in their first IAC matchup of the season. Looking back to last season the Hoyas lost their only IAC matchup the entire year to the Saints, but ended up beating them in the playoffs on a goal just before time expired to send Prep to the Championship. The 2018 edition of this matchup proved to be more one sided. The outcome of the game was never in doubt as the Hoyas jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first with goals by Alex Chaconas (assisted by Michael Davidson & Daniel Cole) and Nolan Urgo (assisted by Alex Chaconas & Michael Davidson). In the second the Hoyas blew the game open with five goals including two by Pat Fitzgerald (the second was assisted by James Flannery & Michael Davidson), a goal by Peter Roche, a goal by Alex Chaconas (assisted by Daniel Cole) and the final goal of the period by James Flannery (assisted by Daniel Cole & Pat Fitzgerald). At the end of the second the Hoyas maintained a comfortable 7-1 lead. Prep tacked on three more goals in the third netted by Daniel Cole (assisted by Pat Fitzgerald), Pat Fitzgerald (assisted by Elijah Young), and Rocco Nascone leading them to a 10-2 victory. Senior Michael Davidson posted one of his best performances of his Varsity career with three assists. Senior Daniel Cole also continued his outstanding play with a goal and three assists, and freshman Pat Fitzgerald had the best game of his young Prep hockey career with a hat trick and two assists.
