Led by captain Jacob O'Hara's three goals and one assist, St. Mary's Ryken fought off a third-period charge by St. Stephen's/St. Agnes to win the Martin Luther King Day matchup at Tucker Road Ice Rink.

St. Mary's Ryken opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal when Shane Gregan, who had just come out of the penalty box, picked up the lost puck at center ice and skated in on a two-on-one with O'Hara.  After passing the puck to O'Hara, Gregan drove to the net and put the return pass behind goalie Alec Coakley. Josh Stevenson was still in the penalty box serving two minutes for roughing.  O'Hara, Barry Underwood and Dominic Delong also scored to give St. Mary's Ryken a 4-0 lead after the first period.

St. Stephen's/St. Agnes got on the board at 6:37 of the second when Will Sterrett scored through the five-hole on a slapshot with the Saints on the powerplay. James Pugh also scored a powerplay goal when he chipped in the rebound of a Sterrett slapshot to make the score 4-2. St. Mary's Ryken's O'Hara scored on a powerplay at 11:42 to give his team a three-goal cushion going into the third period.

Cam Butler's goal seven seconds into the third period drew St. Stephen's/St. Agnes to within two goals at 5-3 before O'Hara completed his hat trick and put the game out of reach.

Jacob O'Hara's three goals and one assist carried St. Mary's Ryken to 7-4 victory over St. Stephen's/St. Agnes.
