The game on Friday night at Piney Orchard Ice Rink had everything. A large, raucous crowd, end-to-end rushes, hits, great saves, and goals. The one thing it didn't have was a winner.

Down by two goals late in the third period, Spalding's Dmitri Jukus scored the second of his two goals in the game with 6:41 remaining and Patrick Mangan's power play goal with less than two minutes on the clock tied it at four against rival Calvert Hall.

Pierce O'Hern put Calvert Hall on the board first with an unassisted goal at 8:46 of the opening period.

Four goals were scored in the second period, including Jukus's first tally at 3:54 to tie the game at one.  However, Calvert Hall's Ryan Camille scored two goals just over two minutes apart in the middle of the period to give the Cardinals a two goal lead. Tristan Duncan's goal at 11:37 brought Spalding back to within one.

Brennan O'Brien's early third period goal gave Calvert Hall a two-goal lead again and set up Spalding's dramatic comeback late in the third.

Matt Schaab made 23 saves for Calvert Hall, while Spalding's Jake Paprcka made 22 saves.

Spalding and Calvert Hall skated to a 4-4 tie at Piney Orchard Ice Rink on Friday night.
