The closing of Ft. Dupont and Mt. Vernon ice rinks for repairs and maintenance have limited the amount of ice available for high school hockey in Maryland and DC.  In light of these extraordinary events, the MSHL Board of Directors has modified the starting dates for the 2023 and 2024 season.

First Monday after Labor Day -- First official date of practice

Last Friday in September -- Begin Varsity and Girls exhibition (pre season) games.  Start of JV regular season.

Second Tuesday in October -- Begin Varsity and Girls regular season.

Second Saturday in February -- End Regular Season

Varsity MSHL State Playoffs

Round of 16 -- February 20 & 22
Quarterfinals -- February 27
Semifinals -- February 28
Varsity Final -- March 1

Girls semifinals are February 13 at Skate Frederick and the finals are February 28 at Rockville.
