FREDERICK, Md. — Graydon Joyce had two goals and an assist to lead the Washington County Northstars past Frederick, 5-1, in the first round of the Monocacy Cup on Monday. 

Randy Plaisance had goal and an assist, Peter Sirface and Joel Henry had a goal each, Tyler Bjerklie, Lucas Karlsson and Jake Lorenzen each had an assist and Mason Widener had 18 saves. 

The Northstars (12-2) will play for the conference title at Skate Frederick on Thursday at 4:45.
