Northstars fit for a trophy of their own?

It may be closer to Christmas than St. Patrick’s Day, but the Washington County Northstars may already be seeing gold.

 

After holding off Carroll County 4-3 at the Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex on Monday night, it appears the first-place Monocacy Valley Division-leading Northstars (7-2) are on cruise control going into the second half of the season.

 

“It was close the whole game but we pretty much have our sights set on states right now so we’re going to try to win one game at a time,” Peter Sirface said. “If you come into a game and think you’re going to win, you are. If you come into a game thinking you’re going to lose, you are. It’s all about attitude.”
