Entering Monday’s Monocacy Valley Hockey League game against Walkersville, the Washington County Northstars knew goals could be hard to come by.
They were tasked with facing Will Callan, a goalie who has built a reputation for being one of the toughest in the league to score on. Not to mention, Callan knows the Hagerstown Ice & Sports Complex well, having suited up for the Hagerstown Bulldogs the last few years.
The Northstars prevailed 5-0 by breaking Callan’s wall Monday night while challenging him with 55 shots.
